Death of a Book Store

I hate to see Borders go. My wife and I love to read and this was one of the few stores that had a large enough selection for the both of us. It was also one of the few places in OK that you could purchase a copy of 2600 on the shelf and not have to ask someone for a copy. For the few stores still left here in OK, several of the buildings have already been purchased and the employees from Borders are getting first pick of the new business jobs. Hopefully this is happening elsewhere.

No good stories, just fond memories. Are eBooks to blame for this? I doubt it. People are still going to want a hard copy of a book in their hands. This chain went out due to the poor judgement of people who are still getting paid, and they will get plenty of money out of the liquidation even though their employees will get squat.

You cannot blame technology for people's greed.

My Best wishes to all out there.
